Abstract

This work is focused on hierarchical TiO2 based electrodes prepared by PLD, to be used in the electrically enhanced water splitting process. The photoresponse is analyzed in a range of wavelength of the incident radiation from 365 to 430 nm. Both the capacitive properties of samples and the quantity/accessibility of the existing active sites are examined by means of CV and EIS measurements. The O2 partial pressure adopted in the PLD synthesis of the samples demonstrated to be the most influential parameter on the final performances of the samples.
