This volume of Chemical Engineering Transactions is a collection of the latest research in Sustainability Engineering completed during the current year (2023). The main article types are present – original research with evaluation and optimisation studies, review papers, and analysis of the legal framework in Hungary. In addition to the efforts for developing Circular Economy solutions, further topics have been explored, including various areas of engineering: construction, IT, transportation, energy, entrepreneurship and innovation, societal issues, agriculture, food engineering, digitalisation and robotics, safety as part of sustainability, waste management, business and science management, regional modelling, health-and-safety, ecosystems, logistics and supply chains. This collection puts together the expertise of multiple and diverse researchers, acting as the precursor for a holistic sustainability research framework.
