The content of this Volume deals with
the most recent developments regarding odour measurement, with a particular
focus on environmental odour monitoring and control. The aim is to give
the opportunity to the scientific and industrial community to read about
the main innovations related to odour analysis, focusing on the applications
of odour measurement in the environmental field, thereby discussing the
innovations in terms of environmental sampling, analysis, odour impact
assessment, safety issues and regulations. Although the main focus of
the Volume is environmental odour monitoring and control, it reaches out
to other fields where odour analysis can be of particular importance,
such as indoor air quality, medical diagnosis and process control, thus
highlighting the growing interest towards the possibility of involving
odour analysis in different sectors.
